Walked into the surgery regarding a emergency appointment after being told by the ambulance service that I needed to, and was advised to walk in to any surgery closest to me as it was an emergency, I was met by a rude receptionist who told me the surgery doesn’t register temporarily patients then she tried to diagnose me herself telling me I needed ongoing treatment and said if I had tonsillitis I would have been able to have a temporary appointment ( something that she already said didn’t exist) but as she thought my symptoms would require ongoing treatment she couldn’t register me. To be honest she seemed un helpful and I felt this was due to the colour of my skin as she was completely unwilling to help for no good reason. It turns out after calling 111 that I needed to attend A&E urgently it was lucky I called 111 I hope this particular receptionist can address her issues and be more professional and a bit nicer to people who are unwell in future! If not I would recommend trying a role where you don’t have to interact with humans. It’s 2020 be kind, spread peace and love, help others we are in a global pandemic! We all pay taxes for the NHS Service. NO CLAP FOR YOU!
"Terrible unprofessional and rude! "
