I had a second ectopic pregnancy in 3 months and felt shocked alone, with my husband not being allowed in the ward.
I went for an assessment but the pain intensified greatly and I had to be admitted and operated on that night.
Wendy, who cared for me on Branston ward, was a guiding light. She could sense my despair and fear and stayed with me as much as possible. It was like having my mum there! I am so thankful for her, and the care of other staff members on Branston who treated me with empathy and respect. They gave their time to listen when I needed to offload emotionally.
