"My experience"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

I found a breast lump and when my GP sent me for an appointment at the breast clinic I was terrified. My Mum died of breast cancer and I had that on my mind, and felt very scared and alone. The staff at the department could not have been kinder, particularly Beth who did my mammogram and Ellie who took my ultrasound pictures. Both ladies were very kind, especially when my claustrophobia prevented me from having a normal mammogram. Beth was very patient and understanding, even made me laugh, and we eventually got there.

In the end I was given the all clear by Ellie, much to my relief,  but the kindness I experienced by these staff was excellent and they deserve to be applauded. Please can you feed this back to their managers.
