First patient of the day, I was welcomed by reception staff who let me in early to reception to wait in comfort. Clerical administration prompt, cheery and efficient,
Introduced with in 15minutes to nursing staff who took me through the procedures and put me at ease.
Introduced to a personable Dr Dalziel and his team who made me as comfortable as was possible (considering the circumstance)
After 1hr I was alert enough to have findings explained and delighted to receive a written report detailing the findings and action taken during the colonoscopy.
Particularly pleasing was, that corrective action was taken during the inspection to negate a second visit being necessary.
I noted that circa 70 appointments were- No shows- in January.
This I am sure can be partly explained as being a result of the embarrassing and intrusive nature of Colonoscopy.
I would conclude by dispelling these fears as the professional manner and competence of all involved left me comfortable with the experience.
