I recently visited the early pregnancy unit and subsequently had to have surgery. The care, advice and support I received from the team was fantastic. Dr Finnegan was excellent and kept me well informed on my options. She made sure I was ok until I got a bed in 2West while I was waiting to hear when my surgery would be. The nursing team were so lovely. Julie-Anne and Rachel were so attentive and made me feel well cared for. Nothing was any trouble. They were so warm and caring.
As I wasn’t to get surgery until the following morning and hadn’t eaten all day they made me tea and toast. I was visited by the register Lyndsey and again she was great and explained things really clearly. I couldn’t have asked for better care. The next morning I was told I was going for surgery and Mark the anaesthetist went through the procedure and reassured me about the surgery. I was nervous about surgery and so when was taken to theatre Mark and the team were very reassuring. I felt in safe hands.
I woke up in recovery where again I was looked after by a fantastic team of nurses. I was weak with hunger so they made me tea and toast. They checked on me regularly and again the care I received was fantastic. I was then moved to 4North and Holly looked after me that evening. She was great, so personable and friendly. At a time that was very traumatic and scary I cannot praise the teams at CAH enough. I always felt safe, informed and the compassionate care I received was excellent! A big thank you to everyone. I know there are names I have forgotten.
"Great care"
