"Urgent treatment centre"

About: DHU Healthcare CIC / NHS 111 Pilgrim Hospital / Accident and emergency Skegness Hospital

(as the patient),

Attended with headache, racing heart and other symptoms, received ecg and waited for doctor.

Doctor came, told me all about my anxiety and that it was just my anxiety causing it. Following day I attended again after being told by 111 to attend for a repeat ecg. Doctor seen was completely different, he insisted I needed to be seen at Boston accident and emergency and he would call an ambulance.

I returned home and attended myself. Received all necessary tests and was returned to care of GP. All in all was not over-impressed with the level of care provided by the first doctor at urgent care.

Good evening jp2020,

Thank you for taking the time to write a post despite being unwell in relation to your recent attendances and experiences at I believe both Pilgrim & Skegness Hospitals in relation to the advice, care and treatment you have received but in particular regarding your recent experience with the NHS 111 service provided in your area by DHU Health Care CIC.

Having read your comments regarding your recent experiences but specifically your contact with the NHS 111 Service on the second occasion when you were advised to attend Hospital for a repeat ECG following your contact with NHS 111 and subsequently got the assistance and care you required.

I do hope you are now feeling much better and I wish you all the best for the future. However, should you have any concerns regarding your contact with the NHS 111 service and wish to discuss further then please contact our Clinical Governance Department on 0300 1000 407 (you may get the answerphone but please leave your name and contact details and a member of the team will call you back) or email us at DHUL.ClinicalGovernance@nhs.net.

Best wishes

Judith Brown
