"Unpleasant appointment"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Ophthalmology Outpatients

(as the patient),

I have been a sufferer of a mesh injury. This story is not really mesh related, but could be .. went to hospital yesterday for my appointment to get cataracts removed .. I can’t say it was the most pleasant appointment .. Staff and Consultant very abrupt .. it seemed to me that they are skeptical about mesh-injured people .. Put me right off having it done ..

I have a very dense cataract in my right eye .. The consultant asked me over and over if I’ve ever had trauma to right eye .. had a poor attitude, sighing and generally making me feel stupid .. All because I mentioned that I know mesh injured ladies can have problems with eyes ..


Feel so upset 😥.

Hi thank you so much for your understanding my stress and anxiety was extremely bad on the day and still feeling upset and frightened to go back. My appointment was at Royal Jubilee eye clinic in Glasgow..
