"My recent admission"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Acute Medical Admissions Unit Dr Gray's Hospital / Cardiology (Heart Conditions) Dr Gray's Hospital / Emergency Medicine NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

I have just gotten home after recently after a short stay after taking ill with a heart-related problem. I wanted to commend the staff involved in my care and on treatment. From the moment I phoned 111 and all the way through my patient journey to the point of my discharge a few days later I was treated brilliantly. The ambulance technicians, A & E staff the AMAU staff were all amazing and so professional. Nothing was too much trouble.

We really are blessed with our NHS but the staff at Dr Grays are truly wonderful. They did everything to put me at ease whilst ensuring my patient journey was as smooth and comfortable as possible. This is such a testament to the staff and their dedication particularly at these unprecedented times.

Dear BabeM

What a lovely story to share on Care Opinion. Thank you so much. I'm really sorry to learn you required to be admitted to hospital and I hope your health continues to improve.

Your journey of care is a shining example of services working seamlessly together to ensure the best possible patient care. The staff at Dr Gray's sound fantastic and a real credit to the NHS overall.

Thanks for mentioning your call to 111. For patients who require further face to face assessment, as in your case, we rarely get to hear what happens following a call to our service. Stories such as yours mean that our staff can understand their part in ensuring a complete positive experience. It would be great to share your story with the staff who managed your call to 111, therefore if you would be kind enough to contact me with some more detail I can share this with them. Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

With best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Thanks again for taking the time to get in touch.

PS - I had a chuckle at the name you used when sharing your story. Thanks for brightening up my day. It's not often (if ever), I have started a Care Opinion response with Dear Babe....

With kind regards

Shona
