The counselling I have received from North Devon Cancer Care Counselling Service has been extremely helpful .
I did not know I had O C D until I started counselling.
The counselling has helped me understand why I have it and how it works and how I can put in place strategies and alternative thoughts to help me to cope better in my daily life .
I have also looked at ways I can help my self and have been able to discuss these with my counsellor
I have felt comfortable to talk openly about my worries and fears and sometimes have a good cry in the counselling sessions , my counsellor has been very understanding and has explained and we have discussed why I am reacting as I do .
If I hadn’t been able to access counselling over video call or phone I simply wouldn’t have accessed support. The video calls have enabled me to access support despite my anxiety.
The counsellor has been able to judge my progress and has made recommendations for further support .
I am very thankful for the support ,understanding and kindness I have been given in the counselling sessions , I know if I need further support there will be some one able to help me .
Thank you .
"Comfortable to talk openly about my worries"
