About: University Hospital Monklands / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 17)

(as a relative),

We would just like to thank all the nurses and staff who cared for my father.  Dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in September and had been in and out of Monklands hospital for appointments and stays.  Having been in for 3 weeks over Christmas and new year he got home but caught Covid19.  All the staff he and my mum spoke to were great.  I would like to especially thank the staff in ward 17 at Monklands for the great job they had done looking after my dad.  Anytime we took things up for him or we called they always went out of their way to help.  The last few days have been tough sitting in a room waiting for him to pass but every now and again a wee knock on the door from a member off staff was great. Even if it was just to see if we needed anything or for a cuppa. I know that my dad appreciated everything they done for him.  

They are all doing a great job at this horrible time!!

Thank you for taking time to acknowledge the professionalism, dedication, care and kindness displayed by staff within University Hospital Monklands especially staff within ward 17. Helping people in need is a priority and is really gratifying for staff.

It will be my pleasure to share your positive feedback and kind words with all the staff, it will be well received and mean a lot to them.

I know this must be an extremely difficult, sad time for you and your family, I wish you all well and thank you again.
