I have been an inpatient for the last 2 weeks in wards 6 and 7. I was initially taken to A&E with severe Covid symptoms. From that first moment in A&E till being discharged tomorrow I can honestly say hand on heart that I would not have received any better care anywhere else. I know this for sure as I have been an inpatient before in different hospitals and I also work on a ward in another hospital myself. The quick reaction of medical staff with my treatment, to total professionalism and dedication to my care from all nursing staff, to the cleanliness and friendliness of domestic staff has been above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. I also would like to thank on-site kitchen staff who made meals that were tasty and brought my appetite back, it was a longing at every meal rather than a dread and my family didn’t have to worry about me not eating properly. In a world where it’s so easy to find the negatives in everything, I can honestly say I have nothing but positivity from Wishaw General. Everyone who works there should be so proud. Well done everyone! ! !
