During lockdown my husband who had been recently diagnosed with dementia and who has many other complex health issues felt very frustrated at having to stay at home as did I but to our rescue came the Working Age Dementia team who rang on a weekly basis to give encouragement and support, signposting us to available help and providing much needed face to face and one to one support (special thanks go to Sharon who went out of her way on many occasions)
We both contracted Covid in November, my husband became hospitalised and I would have struggled badly apart from the continual support and guidance during this difficult time, especially guiding and helping me to arrange the care needs and equipment required for my husband on his discharge.
