"Appalling, Rude, Unhelpful and Upsetting"

About: Forge Close Surgery

My Mother, 86, been with this surgery 20+. 2020 has been a difficult year health wise for my Mother and the support from this practice is non existent. Errors with drugs, errors with records. The receptionists are rude, unhelpful, dismissive and uncaring about the patient or the relatives. There is an obstacle for every request and to get an appointment impossible - the earliest is the 2nd February from today 21st January ! No rules about over 80s at this practice - they have their own rules ! And don't forget it is always the patients that are at fault - never the receptionist. I am lucky I have a fab GP and am able to call on them for advise & help - ie. Covid vaccination nothing from The Forge - but a quick call to my GP - number for Guys and organised for the next day.

The Forge really are the worst surgery locally as previous reviews confirm and support my comments above. No doubt there will be no response from The Forge, but if it is it will be 'we have done everything right, we are perfect and you are just the patient who is always wrong'!

Its a shame that Dr surgeries are not reviewed as schools are as I am certain that this surgery would be closed down.

After 40 minutes on the phone this morning, holding and trying to resolve the problems which surprise surprise I was not able to - I was extremely upset about the attitude from the receptionist that my Mother should do this, should do that etc - no one would like my Mother to be back to her normal self and well again - the rude unhelpful receptionist could not careless one way or another - I felt like I was just a nuisance, interrupting her.

Another awful experience with The Forge.

We are sorry that you have felt the need to complain online rather than attempt to speak to us about this directly. If someone has a problem with the service we are offering we would welcome the opportunity to discuss it with them in person.
