"Clinic with resources but no care"

About: Boroughbury Medical Centre

I discussed my condition my GP a few days ago. I had as Asthama attack which I was unable to control through my preventers and relievers.

The clinicians given to me during my emergency calls are always co-operative and available on the phone. My review of their specialisation and treatment or due care however is very alarming especially when it comes to Asthama.

I have had asthama since a very young age, so I am aware of the ins and outs. I have rarely had any break through treatment and perhaps one is not available. When I do talk to clinicians regarding this I find myself reassured of my condition and that there is nothing that can be done. I find the medication prescribed to be that for broad treatment, including oral steriods and a general lack of care from the clinic.

My test results will be turned away as nothing to deal with actively, my symptoms as something to not be concerned about, any preventative steps to be not required.

I would not have had any treatment options to choose from or help acquiring a specialist for any condition. I have had treatment pushed down without further investigation or diagnosis, this medical treatment would be generalised and would be given on a hit and trial basis. Let us see if this works and if my condition gets better that is the end of it.

I currently have a strong belief that the clinic is not looking out for my best medical interests despite knowing my condition. It would rather tie me up in bureaucratic clinic processes and cover itself than provide me or work with the NHS trust or other medical facilities to keep my health in good order.

I am not sure what can be done in this situation, I have had to reach out to family and friends to take control of my Asthama. It seems the only thing in my best interest and potentially my family is to move to an area where healthcare is given due importance for a quality of life normal people enjoy.
