Absolutely disgusted and heartbroken at the care my father received in this hospital over last few weeks and in fact over last years of his life.
In the geriatric wards I have seen an utter lack of compassion and care (to both the patient and their family) and an arrogance and highly unpleasant attitude from the doctors and nursing staff.
They didn't return calls when they say they will, didn't give full information on patient's condition, barely ever answr the phone, etc. End of life care for my father was pitiful and as I said, absolutely heartbreaking. In the very moments that my father was dying the staff nurse was giving me an extremely unpleasant attitude over the phone. They didn't arrange any phonecalls or videocalls so that I could say goodbye to my father.
Truly disgusted and appallled and would never recommend Lewisham hospital to anyone, especially not the elderly.
