My Mum was recently cared for on Beacon ward during her final days but has been a regular at the Beacon Centre for the last 11 years as she battled ovarian cancer. She has always received exemplary care but during this last admission I witnessed first hand the staff going above and beyond as they tended to Mum in the midst of a global pandemic. The amazing staff cared for and supported us all during one of the worst periods of our lives and we will never be able to thank them enough.
Special thanks to special people - Dr Cattell, Dr Barlow, doctors Jonathan and Chris (such a handsome chap! ), Sophie the palliative care nurse, nurses Mandy, Sophie, Amelia, Michele, Sarah and Viv, HCAs Tanya, Clare and Sarah, student nurse Aston, the lovely receptionists and ward assistants and of course ‘Sally from the valley! ’ Mum was not always an easy customer but hopefully she is a memorable one. Stay wonderful, with love from the family of Jo xx
