"Disappointing"

Went to MIU for severe ankle pain - over a couple of weeks running became more and more painful and finally one day woke up and couldn't put any weight on it. When I explained this to the nurse they said I "haven't actually injured it" and that they "treat injuries" not strains and sprains, theres nothing they can do. The nurse looked at my foot and poked it a few times, I tried to explain that earlier that day I couldn't walk on the affected foot and the nurse told me that I clearly could walk because I had walked into the room...? Not sure what purpose it serves to be this dismissive of a patient's complaints about their pain? The nurse didn't offer any advice except to tell me that the compression sock I was wearing was useless - they seemed preoccupied with correcting me that my pain wasnt an "injury" because it is an ongoing pain and also to point out that I was able to walk when I said that I couldn't. Quite a bewildering experience and disappointing that the Orsett Minor Injuries Unit website says it treats strains and sprains if when you turn up with such an issue they tell you theres nothing to be done and offer no advice for treating it.
