I went to the Endoscopy Department for a camera up and down! At 52 I have been very lucky to not have had a procedure in hospital before but now I needed one.
I was actually more anxious about going into hospital than the procedure but I shouldn't have worried at all! I knew our NHS was great and how brilliant they have been with coping with the pandemic but having not ever experienced actually being in a hospital until now I had no idea of just how absolutely fantastic the staff of this great institution actually are.
I was treated with such kindness and in such a normal human way that has been lost in a lot of our lives today with people being so stressed and angry with current circumstances that I felt so relaxed to have the procedure, feeling that I was first and foremost in all the Doctors and Nurses minds that attended to me. I was included in any chats that were happening and was engaged in many one to one conversations.
I don't want to be having to go to Hospital any time soon but do you know I will not be anxious at all after seeing these guys in action in treating me so well. You are heroes and are the most important people we have in this Country and are AMAZING!
"Fantastic kind staff for my endoscopy"
