"surgery contacted me about a problem I didn't…"

After a routine blood test the surgery made a point of getting in contact about my thyroid problem.

However when I want to contact my GP about a non-urgent problem I can only phone them. There is no email, no message service and no other way to leave an important or non-urgent message which is a problem. I don't want to phone them as they are busy booking appointments so a non-urgent message service would be really helpful, even if it takes a week to get an answer.
