"Not very good at communicating!"

I called to see whether a doctor could put through a prescription for my daughter as she is suffering with severe eczema. I was told that the doctor would have a look and call me back. 2 hours went by and I didn't receive a call so I called them to find out that a referral had been made elsewhere and that they would call me back separately. I was not informed of this, in future, please can you let your patients know of what is happening. Thank you.
