"Labour and C-section"

Our little boy was born in December by emergency section after a long and unfortunately failed induction process. We couldn't let this go past without saying a heartfelt thank you to all the staff involved in our care.

Our midwives in labour ward were Sophie and Anjuli, they were both exactly the kind of midwife you would want during labour, calm and reassuring and made me feel empowered in my decision making, they were also so friendly and chatty and made the time pass so quickly. I was also seen by SCM's Clare and Alison who were also both lovely and friendly.

Also thank you so much to Dr Wyness and all the theatre staff, I was absolutely hysterical and terrified by the time I got through to theatre but they worked so hard to calm and reassure me that everything would be okay. I can't thank the anaesthetist Amit(I really hope this is his name, my memory is a little hazy) enough, he is an absolute credit to the team and made me feel safe and well looked after during my time in theatre.

A huge thank you also to Charley and Steph in Summerfield ward for all their support during our stay there which was especially difficult as a first time mum without my husband but they made it all so much easier for me. The care I had during my time giving birth to my son was faultless and I really couldn't be more grateful for that, I won't forget the kindness we were shown.
