I have recently been in the High Dependency Unit following a double operation and I also have the added complication of Pulmonary Hypertension which is very frightening . Great care was taken with my operation by the colorectal and gynaecological team and the anaesthetist who corresponded with Papworth Hospital at all times. The staff in the High Dependency Coronary Unit went above and beyond the call of duty at all times to make me feel safe and secure in a very frightening time where relatives were not allowed to be present. They worked tirelessly all day and night and I cannot praise then highly enough. Working in a hospital must be so tiring at all times without the complication of Covid 19 but I was never made to feel that I was a nuisance, I was given incredible care and understanding and everything was cleaned endlessly throughout the day so a huge thank you to those people who must not be named but you know who you are. If you need to go to Derriford please be assured you will get the very best attention.
