I was rushed to A and E then moved to Ward 14 Covid when a bed became available. My oxygen SATS were vey low. Ambulance and A and E were superb but they were rushed off their feet. I was suffering from covid related pneumonia so I was put straight on oxygen and intravenous antibiotics, as well as other medications. They managed to find a Covid bed for me after some hours. The Covid Ward is not a pretty sight but the nursing staff were outstanding and caring, lovely people from all over the world. I didn’t really know if it was day or night, or if I was awake or asleep as they fussed and checked constantly. I survived. I am now discharged from hospital after several days fighting Covid. I am Covid free but still recovering from the effects and it will take a few weeks to get enough energy to stay up out of bed. May God bless those wonderful nurses and their families.
"So much care and professionalism"
