After a referral to A& E from my doctor, I was taken to Lincoln county hospital by ambulance. After my arrival I was examined & had bloods taken. I had been continuously vomiting Black fluid so it was pretty serious. I was told by doctor that blood test came back ok but I would need chest X-ray to see if any damage was done, if it came back ok I would be discharged. After 15 minutes a nurse came & said I could go home. I explained I was to have an X-ray first, she went & checked, came back & said ok. After a short period a Porter came & took me to X-ray & left me in corridor. A member of staff came out took my name & said about 10 minute wait. After about 20 minutes I noticed there were no staff about. Just over an hour later people started to emerge. I found out from the lady that took my X-ray that the staff had been on there lunch break. What I find disturbing is that I was left on a trolley for over an hour & not one nurse or doctor came past & checked. I saw another patient in the same predicament. I know hospitals are under pressure lately but that is no excuse, anything could have happened.
