Having experienced blood in my urine, a subsequent cystoscopy discovered a tumour in my bladder and an operation in November 2019 to remove this tumour also showed it to be stage 3 cancer and the cure required an operation to remove the bladder. Chemotherapy started in January 2020 and finished in March 2020, lockdown due to covid 19 started on 23rd March so no operation but Radiotherapy instead which started in May 2020.for 4 weeks. A further cystoscopy in October showed to be OK but biopsy would be required. Biopsy operation took place on 9th December and results showed no trace of bladder cancer, subsequent CT scan was also clear. Great Xmas present.
My sincere thank you to all surgical Staff, Mr Sohail-Khan, Mr Nagalatia, Dr Dodds and other surgeons who operated on me. Also my sincere thanks to all nursing staff in urology, oncology and Beatson at Wishaw and Monklands Hospitals. I received nothing but the best of care during my entire journey through this cancer treatment. Considering the current situation (Covid-19) all staff are to be congratulated on their performance and dedication
Many thanks from myself and my wife and family.
"All staff are to be congratulated"
