Was admitted to cardiology ward via A&E tests and diagnosis happened fast with transfer to Edinburgh Royal for a procedure .
Whilst in ward staff were excellent with everything being explained , what needed to happen and why , also the new meds were explained to me , why I needed them and how they worked .
I had to wait from early afternoon until the next morning for an ambulance for transfer to my secured bed in Edinburgh due to Ambulance service being stretched , they have a lot to cover and the Ambulance crew deserve a mention as they chatted away during transfer and were very professional which helped my anxiety .
Had my procedure done and was discharged next afternoon , excellent care across all services during what is a testing time for your profession .
You have an excellent team Jamie and your time spent explaining everything and listening to my worries during the initial diagnosis was very much appreciated .
I never got names of all who were on duty during my stay but I have to mention Graham being the Nurse in charge both nights I spent in the ward , he kept me updated on everything while awaiting transfer .
Thank you
