The counselling service seems to be unable to help with complex mental health issues, with its focus being constantly around being told to control your breathing and being told they can't help with advice. Which is strange considering the definition of the role of a counsellor is to provide guidance and advice to help the individual be able to process their issues and enable them to find coping mechanisms to deal with their own issues, rather than the counsellor solving the problems for them.
I know things are difficult due to Covid restrictions but there should be more options than just telephone calls available, when video calls would be more appropriate for some individuals. There needs to be an NHS service for people with mental health/anxiety/ptsd and cognitive issues who are really struggling with day to day life but can't seem to access the help they need as they are not suicidal.
