"Unresponsive and uncaring"

About: Wilson Street Surgery

My parents have been registered with the Wilson St surgery since the 1960s. They are both in their 80s with medical conditions and have still yet to be contacted for their covid vaccinations despite being the highest clinical priority. The note on the website instructing patients not to enquire is insulting and uncaring. It is not acceptable to ask vulnerable high priority pensioners to continue to wait in this health crisis without any explanation or justification. The lack of action by this surgery is perpetuating clinical risk which could result in severe health consequences and loss of life.

We know that vaccinations are available to NHS staff. Why is this surgery not prioritising and protecting their vulnerable patients?

A very poor show

We are working in line with the Govt guidelines. Derby City as a whole are starting to vaccinate vulnerable patients later this week at the Derby Arena (Velodrome) on Pride Park. Patients are being telephoned by practice staff to book appointments. Our practice is contributing heavily to the workforce requirements at the Arena with many of our staff working additional shifts in their own time to deliver this vaccination. Your parents will be called.
