After falling down a muddy slope on a Boxing Day walk I heard a suspicious crack and felt a sharp pain.I was seen within 10 minutes by the staff in the Urgent Injuries Unit, had an X Ray which was sent to DRI and received a response from a consultant within minutes and on their recommendation was given a temporary half pot until I was seen at DRI 2 days later. All the staff who helped me were friendly, professional and reassuring.Fortunately it was a minor fracture and my pink pot with gold sprinkles courtesy of DRI (I am 75!) comes off in 3 weeks. Thanks to all in both places; you made it seem effortless despite the exhausting conditions many of you must be experiencing at the moment.
"Excellent experience"
