My 5 year old son required a covid test due to having a high temperature. We told him exactly what would happen and it would be a little uncomfortable but would be over quickly. Understandably when we arrived my son was nervous and started to get upset, the nurse on the covid station was amazing! She really put him at ease, chatted to him and appealed to his sense of humour by asking if she could go on a bogey hunt! (typical boy! ) and because of this he let her do the swabs with no fuss and he was even giggling throughout! Unfortunately I didn't get her name but we came away very impressed with her manner and patience.
