"Marvellous people and reasons to celebrate"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Medicine

(as a service user),

Venesection at FVR Day Medicine Unit ~ Venesection Suite.

Venesection no.6, I intended to post a photo of the treatment site.  Sorry no photo ~ as there is nothing to see. No bruise, almost invisible pin prick!

Amazing when I think about the needle Cathy wields!  This care/treatment has been the highlight of 2020 for me (anyone knowing this exists must feel the same?) No surgery, no medication ~ simple blood drawing. I have worded that wrongly...looks simple when an expert is doing the blood drawing!

This time 2019 I was so despondent, no energy, sad, sore and losing weight. Thankful my GP did blood tests and followed through to diagnose my genetic condition.  Even more thankful to have consultant appt and treatment.  I am full of hope, positivity and energy levels are improving.

Cathy and her team are invaluable; saving patients from complicated illness and procedures: if only everyone was tested when we presented with non-specific, pain, fatigue and vague "unwell" symptoms the NHS and patients would be in a much better place!

To All at the Medical Day Unit and Cathy and Venesection Team....You made my 2020 "Nae Sae Bad" and I know you will make my 2021 the year I get young again! Have a Happy New Year, May you have Health, Happiness and Prosper in all your endevours!

Good morning Vampirefriend,

Happy new year to you too.

Thank you once again for the cheery message I have come in to find this morning.

Like you, I like to stay positive and am happy that this has reflected in your treatment.

I'm so glad to hear that your symptoms are improving now your treatment is under way, and that you are feeling happy with your care.

Stay safe, stay positive.

Best wishes to you

Catherine and all the staff in Day medicine
