I am classed as being extremely vulnerable as I am 72 and I have COPD, diabetes and atrial fibrillation amongst many illnesses.
The receptionist rang me to ask if I would like the COVID injection as she had an appointment for me. By time she had explained all that the appointment had gone. Fast forward three hours and the same young lady rang me again to tell me there was another appointment available. Needless to say I snapped it up. Then another receptionist rang me to talk to me about my wife (who is housebound) getting her injection.
With all that is going on at the moment I cannot praise the reception staff too highly. It’s amazing that I’m getting the injection - and it is totally awesome that the staff are going the extra mile to try and help their patients. As I said earlier - they have rang me three times in just over 3 hours - and I am getting the jab.
You can’t get better than that.
