I was given a left breast masectomy at Forth Valley Hospital on 29th December 2020.
The nature of my cancer is very rare as melanoma detected in breast cancer. My ct showed cleared but Several other investigations had to take place prior to surgery.
On day off surgery I was given an enenima as back passage was last place to be checked at same time off masectomy so I was apprehensive to say the least.
When I met a nurse in Day care called Aly whos first point off call was to give me an enenima I was put a total ease due to her happy manor.
We hit it off straight away and our chats helped take my mind off surgery happening that afternoon. The following morning she was back on shift and she was as happy and professional as she had been the day prior.
The young nurses on during the night couldn't do enough for me.
Iv never had many dealings with NHS, but can honestly say iv never met more kind compassionate people.
THANK YOU NHS FOR YOUR SERVICE. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME THE STRENGTH I NEED FOR NEXT STAGE OFF MY CANCER TREATMENT.
