"Poor service "

About: Laburnum Health Centre

visited the surgery about 2 months ago with my elderly mum. Confirmed with the practice that an entry was made in her medical records that she gave consent for her son and daughter in law to discuss her medical conditions on her behalf. Subsequently she has had tests / hospital admissions. Following this we have had telephone discussions with the Gp clinical team on her behalf. Following further tests we called for the results today and were informed that they had no record of her consent? Also, when I visited with her for a F2F appointment 23/9/20, the clinical room had all windows closed (no ventilation), fortunately we were wearing FFP3 masks. The staff left to manage the reception desk at the front door also not bothering with wearing masks on that day.

I hope you improve your record keeping and data entry. I also hope you are now compliant with IPC guidance when seeing patients face to face and ventilate you consulting rooms.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your feedback.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service you have received from us.

We would like to look in to the issues that you have raised and therefore would ask you to write in to the practice with your details.

I can however, confirm that it is now mandatory for all staff to wear face masks.

Once again we apologies that you were unhappy with our services and hope to hear from you so that we can investigate your complaint fully.

Kind regards

Laburnum Health Centre
