I was brought to the A & E department by ambulance at about 24:00 hours on the 28th December with chest pains. Having experienced a MI 2 years previously I was immediately given an ECG and blood samples taken before being taken to the A & E ward. All the staff were busy but attentive and friendly. I was given some pain relief and the usual battery of tests including X-rays all delivered professionally and with care. I was pleased to be informed that it was not another MI and I was discharged in the early hours of the next day.
Would you please convey to all staff on duty that night my thanks and appreciation for the way my case was dealt with.
I was able to observe the calm and professional way that all patients , some with conditions or injuries far, far worse than mine were dealt with,.
Once again , many thanks to all staff at the RLI, especially for the work that the NHS have done in this horrendous year.
Best wishes for A Happy New Year to all.
"Thank you"
