My mum was admitted to ward 21 in order to be treated for a chest and kidney infection, which we had done our best to treat at home with antibiotics.

My mum received no treatment other than 48 hours of antibiotics. We felt pushed into allowing her discharge from hospital bed for fast track CHC plan.

My mum has last stage dementia and despite her condition fast track, which should be completed in 48 hours had still not taken place at day 21.

My mum is a shadow of herself and I feel her focal needs have not been addressed, never mind met. In my opinion the the system is not fit for purpose, total disgrace.

We wanted my mum at home, with basic CHC in place.

We are removing her from NHS bed in order to give her the dignity she deserves.

I will never forget the total disregard that NHS trust Arrowe Park and Wirral Social Services have shown.
