Christmas Eve 2019, I cut my thumb on a food processor blade. I went to Minor Injuries and got 7 stitches - the wound healed up very quickly. In June 2020 I got my first pyogenic granuloma on the same thumb that was cut previously. Both my GP and Minor Injuries said they would have cauterised it had they had the proper anaesthetic however I was referred to Dermatology. By the time my Dermatology appointment came round the end July 2020, the granuloma had healed and no action was taken then. The granuloma re-appeared mid September 2020 and was much bigger than version 1. I was again referred to Dermatology and yesterday I and saw Practice Nurse Kirsty and assistant Dawn. They removed granuloma and the wound cauterised. Getting the two jags was a bit sore for a few seconds but I never felt any pain thereafter. When the anaesthetic wore off some hours later, there was no pain. It was great getting rid of the granuloma after over 3 months. I 'm full of gratitude to Kirsty & Dawn for their professionalism and their cheery manner which put me at my ease.
