Turned up at the Surgery this morning, at the appointed time for my yearly diabetes check-up. Checked-in on the screen and sat for my turn. Very few people in the reception, all with masks or face shields. A young mother with a baby called my attention, I wondered about keeping babies protected at these times, my experience is that babies always choose the worst times. Not given much time to wonder, I was called into exam room 14 and given by the nurse the check with precision but also with the cheerful banter and chat which is frequently found in confident and competent health professionals. To boot, had a GP following the procedure who I believe to be a new acquisition to the Surgery. 20 minutes on from my appointment time, I was out in the parking area ready to go home. A pretty admirable appointment at Abbeyfields Surgery. Thanks, Merry Christmas and a hopeful New Year to all!
"Great yearly check-up."
