About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Daisy Paediatric Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

Had to make a midnight dash to Daisyhill A& E seen by triage nurse first who was very friendly for 5 o'clock in the morning lol we got seen by doctor and male nurse who could not be nicer to me and my we man we were having difficulty getting nebuliser on him when more team members brought a Teddy and entertained him while he got the nebuliser he was really Their number one priority.   We were then admitted to the children ward an again I couldn't ask for nicer nurses noting was to much the nurse even came to say goodbye to me 30 minutes after her shift had ended I cannot speak highly enough of the staff they are truly amazing gifted people.

Dear Ak1983, I am the Care Opinion Facilitator for the Southern Trust and I want to thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience with your son. I understand that it can be an anxious time for parents when their child becomes unwell and needs to attend hospital, it is reassuring for us to read that you were so happy with the care provided to your son, both in the Emergency Department and also in the Children's ward. I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the staff and I know that they will really appreciate your lovely comments.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while on the Children's Ward. I'm so glad the nursing staff on the ward were able to make what can be a very stressful time a little easier for you and your son. I will be sure to pass your feedback on to the staff.
