I rang the GP to either speak to a doctor or make an appointment due to persistent back pain. I was refused both on the ground that I was discharged from the service without my knowledge and no explanation given.
I had waited 46 minutes on the phone before I was able to to get through to someone only to be told I can’t see, speak or make an appointment. This is unacceptable, unethical and without empathy for individual.
I was trying to explain to the person taking the call that unless I am unwell I wouldn’t necessarily see my GP.
I explained to this person that I have a medical concern hence this telephone call to the service.
The call came to a premature end without me getting any help.
So what is the core values/ethics of the practice.
"Unhelpful and insensitive Service"
