"over zealous receptionists"

I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes late due to unforseen circumstances. The diabetic nurse had wanted me to have blood taken to check everything. The receptionist asked for my dob and name. I then was shouted at and told that I was late for my appointment. The lady standing next to me commented that there was no need to talk to me in that way. I was then told that I would not be able to have my blood test as the nurse was busy with other people. I agree completely that staff should not have to suffer abuse from people. Perhaps it could be reciprocated to patients. It seemed petty not to be able to fit me in as I am sure the nurse went on to the next patient and so on, thereby resulting in a gap. It is not the first time that the receptionist have been rude to me. I will try and move to a more friendly surgery. I appreciate that the surgery maybe is working hard at this time. I did arrive for my appointment albeit late, however there is no excuse to treated in this way
