In September 2019 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour which had been growing slowly for a decade. My GP worked endlessly using the telephone to ring Leeds General Infirmary and Bradford Royal Infirmary to make sure that I was seen quickly so that I could received the required treatment without delay. I had lost my memory, I could not communicate with people, my face was leaning to one side, I had weakness in all 4 limbs. Although being right handed I could only use my left hand to feed myself. I would become exhausted trying to lift my right leg in and out of my jeans and pyjamas. My wife had to help me to dress and undress. I was told that during my brain surgery I could have a stroke or develop epilepsy and if nothing was done I would die. There was also the possibly that I might not be able to speak following the surgery as the brain tumour was resting on the region that controls speech. Immediately following brain surgery which lasted for more than 4 hours my memory returned, I could communicate with people, I had full power and strength in all 4 limbs and my face straightened. Thank you.
