"Excellent care"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Wards 2, 6,7 10 & 16)

(as a service user),

I too was a patient in ward 46 in GRI with COVID 19. I must say the level of care I received was excellent. I was admitted in April and I was on oxygen. At times I had to use the toilet. I was told if at anytime I needed assistance to buzz for staff.

The staff were run of their feet. Their hands were sore with constant washing, but they always had a smile and kind words for you.

My experience of COVID 19 was horrendous but thanks to all staff I came through it

Thank you for your care

Dear Betnw78,

Thank you for your kind words about the care you received during your hospital admission during what must have been a very anxious time for you. It is very much appreciated that you have taken the time to praise the care you received from our staff under challenging circumstances and I will ensure your kind words are shared with our team.

I trust you make a full recovery from your illness.

best wishes

John
