"Lack of help"

About: General Practices in NHS Highland Highland Community Services / Community Mental Health

(as a service user),

In July 2020, I was the victim of a crime by someone in a position of authority... this person has now been charged. It follows previous distressing actions against me by the same authority.  The event had a profound effect on me, bringing back many difficult memories.  I contacted my GP in July to discuss the likelihood that I am suffering PTSD. We had a long consultation in which he agreed to refer me to mental health services.  I have in my recent past episodes of anxiety and depression that have led to one suicide attempt and other suicidal feelings.

It is now late December 2020. A little while ago I contacted the GP and they confirmed the referral had been made.  I have heard nothing from the mental health service.

I feel quite let down. Not even an acknowledgement of the referral has come through.
