Devastated, great care , but so frustrating booking Skype calls , covid, but no-one ever calls. We spend hours on the phone chasing the pre-booked calls , most of the staff have no idea of the process, where the ward iPad is, or the empathy to understand that with no visiting hours this 5 minutes contact is vital for distraught relatives or the patient's welfare.
We are from an emergency services family and fully understand all the issues services face, but come on, the managers of the ward need to ensure there is a system in place. Really poor service in this regard, my 85 year old father is in tears most of the day and needs 5 mins to see my very ill mum.
Come on guys, get a grip.
