Due to a broken wrist my daughter and I visited A&E yesterday. We returned for her to be admitted to the children’s ward today for surgery. What was a painful, scary experience was made stress-free for her. I am in awe of the staff there in every department we visited. I love how she was given the opportunity to speak and answer questions rather than talking over her. She was given reassurance and explanations at every point and having met a range of anaesthetists, doctors, nurses, surgeons, every single person we spoke to was exceptional. I had my second daughter at the maternity ward and they made the whole experience wonderful and having visited again with my eldest, different departments of the hospital, I am equally impressed. Thank you to everyone from admissions, to friendly cleaners, doctors, nurses, children’s ward through to the specialists that looked after her today. You are all wonderful xxxx
