I went to see the Consultant Colposcopy (Miss. Harper) recently for a a lump I have noted for few weeks. I was overwhelmed to see 4 people in the room. However, the consultant Dr Harper has been very understanding and there was a registrar there and she decided she would not join the examination as I was really nervous about it and didn't like many people staring at me, at least I didn't feel comfortable. The two nurses were their to comfort me. At the end of the examination Dr Harper took her time to explain exactly what my problem was, she jotted it all down on a piece of paper, as I have explained that I am into research and she understood that I would want to read about the procedure she will have to carry out on me in the next coming few weeks.
She has been lovely and reassuring, and I was satisfied by the service and how she has dealt with someone who was worried, specially that I arrived there alone to find 4 people in a room which wasn't expected.
"Very understanding and reassuring."
