About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

The A & E Department left my son in a corridor. He had a subdural hematoma and was brought in by ambulance. He was not triaged. 47 minutes later, still unseen by any member of staff in the department the pressure in his head reached such a level that he went into a seizure from which he never recovered. He received no medication or treatment. Our family received nothing but incorrect information and patronising comments until we could prove the correct sequence of events and time line. If you need to attend this hospital make sure you send text messages to friends and family just in case you too are told you have no idea what time the ambulance arrived at the hospital!!

I am very sorry to hear what happened to your son at the A&E at Princess Royal University Hospital and offer condolences on behalf of the Trust. I understand that there has been an investigation into what happened and that you have received a copy of the report. If there is anything else that the Trust can do to help, please do let me know.
