A million star rating for the wonderful staff on ward 2! My mum was admitted suffering terribly with dementia and her behaviour was challenging to say the least. All the staff were kind, caring and lovely. They were considerate to her wishes as well as her needs and were very capable of caring for her with great professionalism. They were also exceptionally kind to us when we visited. The psychiatrist in charge of my mum was also better than we could have hoped for and able to communicate clearly with us and listen to us. The ward was also very clean and mum's room had been decorated with family photos which was a very nice touch.
I was terrified when mum was admitted to a psychiatric hospital during Covid restrictions, as I feared all the bad things you read about in the news. However, The Mount was the total opposite experience. Mum could not have been in a better place to end her days comfortably and with dignity and love. Thank you to all of you who helped with her. You are all amazing souls. X x X
