Three months ago after what should have been a straight forward ultrasound on my gallbladder a tumour on my kidney was found.
The wheels of the NHS United Lincs Hospital went into motion and within a matter of days I was having a CT Scan and all this just as the second wave of Covid was starting to hit.
The efforts the teams from admin through to surgical teams to get my op done quickly but safely in the middle of a pandemic has been outstanding. Did my op get cancelled at any point, yes it did however I know and trust the decisions made were hard ones but vital for my safety and I knew as soon as possible they would make sure I got my op.
My op took place in early December and the care from the surgeons to the nursing staff was second to none. Thank you to everyone for your time and care you are all very special people.
